Re: /dev/sda1 is full, what can I clean?

My solution is to have this alias in /etc/aliases

Code: Select all

root: /dev/null

Re: file manager - auto refresh after upload complete

Is it possible to install on B3 in bash file manager ( similar to Nautilus, Midnight Commander ). Is there enough memory for it? To copy directly from attached storage to B3? Or how do do that without using laptop, to use possibility take away laptop and the discs will be still copying from one to ...

Re: OpenProducts to take over Excito B3 product line

So it is with a sad heart that we must announce that OpenProducts have chosen not to proceed taking over the responsibilities for the B3 product line. We still think that the B3 is a wonderful product, still with a lot of potential, and we think it deserves better attention than what we can provide...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6

and that brings us right back to whether this make business-sense to the manufacturer. Hey, isnt linux open source and all so that anyone can contribute? How about the people who really want feature start getting of their behind instead of just asking others to do so. That's my whole point but is t...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6

It would indeed, but without a client-server model it would also create a gigantic security leak =) A client only or server only solution is not possible, to state the obvious. :) As with any solution a proper architecture needs to be in place to ensure stability, scalability, performance, security...

Re: Manual for the new backup feature?

We are referring to the manual that is still in revision 1.2
http://b3/manual/index.php?lang=en

The manual (pages 29 and 107-113) still covers the old backup system, not the new one.

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6

Ah, but there you're wrong. Because it is in fact Excito (or OpenProducts) that you want to write a web based frontend to plug into their main administration pages. Since rbackup itself is a wrapper around rsync, it would make more sense to base the development of the web wrapper on rsync itself th...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6

we are listening Great! if a majority would think plain sync is crap we'll do something about it when we can. Hear our voice! more features = more settings = less usable. I've already argued against this with a good counter example so, no, I do not agree fully. As a designer reaching minimalism and...

Re: Guest network routing, WLAN extension (e.g. WDS) etc

Thanks for the explanation but I'm not very interested in protecting other client machines on the internal network from guests trying to access them since they all have their software firewalls so disallowing access to the B3 is the topic for my request. I'll try to figure out how to manually add fi...

Re: Guest network routing, WLAN extension (e.g. WDS) etc

Thanks for your reply Gordon! The big issue in your setup is that you have the WRT router connected to your LAN, meaning that everyone on your guest network provided by the WRT can in fact access every address on your LAN without the possibility for the B3 to block this kind of traffic. You will the...

Re: Guest network routing, WLAN extension (e.g. WDS) etc

Why not connect that wrt to the b3 lan port then? That's quite possible and that's what I intend to do and explained with The B3 acts gateway (192.168.0.1) and DHCP in the scope 192.168.0.x The WRT54G is configured with 192.168.0.2 as WAN address and acts as gateway 192.168.1.1 and DHCP in the 192....
