Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.4

I get the feeling that I've missed something here, so sorry for asking now. If I understand things correctly this upgrade will completely replace my old firefly (mt-daapd) with logitechmediaserver? What will that mean to me (I use daap a lot to stream music to my Soundbridges)? Will I have to do so...

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.3.2

This is most likely a repost, but I found out that, after manual dist-upgrade, apt asks to me to run apt-get autoremove. However this remove bubba-apt which deletes all the excito repositories. Is that supposed to happen? The bubbba-apt package isn't used anymore, and you should fond the repositori...

Re: Set CONFIG_NFSD_V4 in the kernel

I'll look into it.
I've added a patch now at https://github.com/Excito/kernel/commit ... f500c4f3a4 which I'll build towards next release which includes nfs4 server support and nfs41 client support (dunno if the latter is useful).

Re: OS X Lion and Time Machine on the B3 doesn't work.

I've added netatalk 2.2.1 now to the unstable repository (vincent). As of yet untested using lion, but we'll going to test it asap.

Re: 2.3.1 problems

It should be fixed now, has been some problems upstream-wize with policykit (different sourcepackage for the same version in normal debian and in debian security) which made the package drop out in our repo.

The kernel source is just an "apt-get source" away. :)

Re: flashing b3 Kernel

First I apologize, if this post is not in the good section. I have just got a B3, I want to replace a previous Qnap+Debian that run mainly nfs, and only nfsv4. I nave seen that nfsv4 is not selected in kernel 2.6.38. There are also a (less important) lack of io accounting to run io monitoring like ...

Re: Apache upgrade

Ok, it sounds like you guys have a pretty highly customized version of debian running on the B3...is it possible for me to install a different linux os, a more traditional one that would allow me to perform necessary security updates without breaking anything? I understand that I would probably be ...

There are no major differences. There are some known bugs that will be fixed soon.

Re: B3 USB Camera

My B3 cannot install usbutils nor motion: for "usbutils" no installable package is available (apt-get claims that other packages do refer to it) and apt-get cannot find any package "motion" :( Have these packages been omitted from the "elvin" distro? I had motion running succesfully on my first gen...

Re: cURL extension

Hello Keith, Because the SAPI handling in the original php5 packages where too limited (we have different configuration for the apache5 and the fastcgi sapi), we decided to change the behavior in our packages; Though other upstream debian package will not adhere to this change, and will only install...

Re: Running Debian lenny or squeeze on Bubba Two

Hi Carl, I've installed the new image and had a play around and so far, everything seems great. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do with my B2 to really test it due to my B3 being used for everything. Hopefully, someone who is using their B2 as their sole server might be able to test it some m...
