Re: Owncloud and ph php 5.3.3

Turned out it wasn't very difficult to solve. Only reason they now require 5.3.8 is because they think older versions are buggy. So a quick edit of owncloud/lib/private/util.php made it work again (as found in http://owncloud.10557.n7.nabble.com/ownCloud-6-RC2-td11373.html ). Anyway, Squeeze WAS ble...

Owncloud and ph php 5.3.3

Hi all. Today Owncloud 6.0 rc2 was released. 6.0 rc1 works very well on my B3, but when I tried to upgrade to rc2 I suddenly got a big text in my face saying that PHP 5.3.8 or higher is required. Doh. I'm thinking about my alternatives here: 1. Simply staying on rc1. Will do for the moment, but I gu...

Re: Scheduled events stopped working

This sentence is not correct. Runnign chmod a-x /usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5" will only disable execution of /usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5, but any other script in that folder will remain intact (such as the upload script). If you want to completely disable cgi-bin you need to alter the apache config. If you do t...

Re: Scheduled events stopped working

Gordon wrote:Not true. Uploading files does not require the php cgi, so these will still work.
Oh, sorry. That was the answer I got in the other thread when asking if anybody knew what I would break by completely disabling cgi-bin. So is there anything at all that needs cgi-bin then?

Re: Scheduled events stopped working

Hi. I'm sorry to have to say this, but you've probably been hacked. You can read more about it in this thread: http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4633 To make a long story short there is a vulnerability in php that attackers have used to get into our B3's and put stuff in the scheduled task...

Re: I have been attacked and don't know why.

I think it breaks the upload from the file manager. I can live with that :D just out of interest, why is homeAutomation running as Apache? Because it's a web gui. It's running entirely in PHP. We've been thinking about making a daemon for the scheduling instead of jobs in cron/at, but right now tha...

Re: [Cancelled] OpenProducts to take over Excito B3 product

There's no doubt that Apple and Microsoft will tumble and crumble at some point as well and my guess is that this time is actually not far away at all. Horray! Eh... Sorry, that one was off topic... Well, I have really no opinion about the V1. What I do know is that if a B4 was released which was a...

Re: I have been attacked and don't know why.

I guess this will do most of the work then chmod 644 /usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5 crontab -u www-data -r echo www-data >> /etc/cron.deny usermod -s /bin/false www-data Just like to note that this is a change that will completely break the scheduling in Homeautomation for those of you that use it. We rely ...

Re: I have been attacked and don't know why.

how can i check the cron-job for www-data ?? You can (logged in as root) do either "crontab -u www-data -l" to list all cron jobs for www-data or "crontab -u www-data -e" to open up an editor (I think you'll get nano) for the jobs. Just delete the rows that shouldn't be there and save with ctrl-x. ...

Re: I have been attacked and don't know why.

Seems odd that we would all be victim. I wonder I someone is targeting all hosts at myownb3.com. Nope. I have my own .se domain, I've never used myownb3.com. I'm in Sweden, on dynamic IP (I've had the same IP for some years now though). The IP is 88.206.x.x, I doubt that anyone else here is in the ...

Re: I have been attacked and don't know why.

Ok. This is weird. It happened to me too. I've been struggling for hours today to try to find out what happened and now I found this thread. I noticed this morning that my usual www-data crontab stuff (I do some homeautomation related stuff) didn't run and when I checked www-datas crontab was replac...

Re: Minimal wheezy install images for b3

I do not know why, but someone either deleted or hid my two previous posts without any kind of feedback to me. This is weird. All your posts were awaiting moderation. This is standard procedure for new posters, question seems to be why they first were visible and then disappeared. I've approved the...

Re: wifi problems using 5 Ghz

Would be nice to get new hostapd in next update..... If you need someone to test new hostapd ;-) +1 on that one. I really could make use of some new features in hostapd 1.0 (or whatever is the latest today). /Daniel edit: Oh, actually 2.0 is the latest since january. And I never got any response in...

Re: B2 Power Supply

Hmmm... I'm thinking loud here now... As you know I've had quite much problems with my B3 wifi. Normally I have a Tellstick Duo (for lamp control), a APC 350CS (ups) and a Yoctolight (ambient light sensor) connected to my B3 USB ports (using a non powered usb hub). However I've noticed that having a...

Re: Domoticz on the B3

Come to think about it: I may have been misled by the title HomeAutomation on this forum, not noticing the missing space in between. It should probably be moved to the Howtos forum - could some moderator see to that? Either that, or maybe instead someone (with higher permissions than me) change the...
