Someone directed me to this thread:

Sounds like it might work... but I fear I am not the one brave enough to have a go :(

Cheers!

And just in case any kind soul would like to guess if it is likely to work, based on what mplayer needs to work, this:

explains how you get mplayer working on debian. Anyone know if any of those steps are beyond bubba's capabilities?

Cheers,

AlienBBC plugin on slimserver?

Hi all, anyone got the AlienBBC plugin (for playing realaudio streams through slimerver) working? Or have any idea if it is likely to work? The linux version of the plugin uses mplayer, which I guess should work, but I don't really know. See: http://www.x2systems.com/AlienBBC/installation.html#linux...

That is so cool. I am interested in a Bubba because of the reports that Slimserver works for music. But I ama bit worried that Slimserver really pushes the Bubba to the limits of its capabilities (e.g. people report that the web interface is very slow). So I wasn't expecting a video server software ...

Bump!

OK, this topic was almost at the top anyway, but I just wanted to say I would also be really interested in this. I really like the look of the Bubba but my number 1 application would be Slimserver and I have a biiiiiiiiiig library.

Kul förrestan att Bubba är en svensk grej!

Cheers,

Ben
